The Last Chance To Save My State

Tate Reeves and other statewide officeholders aren’t just egotistical insubordinates, they are criminals who steal and deceive.

We’ve held decades-long rankings of the Highest in the Nation for Household Poverty and Child Poverty; lowest in Labor Force, Gross Domestic Product (GDP), and Household Income; second lowest in Quality of Life; third lowest in Environmental Cleanliness; fourth lowest in Public Healthcare; tenth lowest in Education (all per the World Population Review). Not to mention, our capitol city is without clean water.

After more than a century of pummeling, Mississippi has reached its breaking point. The road leading here is one of few paved — painted in Republican-red, Democratic-blue, and the undecided color of hate. Decades of Conservative leadership has brought any remote sign of progress to a standstill. Perhaps the greatest recent victory in the state was the redesigned flag: as facile an example of justice as can be (albeit an example nonetheless).

Still, the current statewide leaders leave examples of their own: examples that leave even the least participant members of society scratching their heads over whether they act in plum ignorance or outright hate. However, we have a legitimate choice in 2023. A flock of new candidates…
